Our Program
General Information
Our program accepts students from 5th to 12th grades and of all ability levels. Limited spots for 5th grade.
The season officially begins in July and ends in mid-October.
Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Practices usually begin at North Tahoe High School and we access the extensive trail systems behind it.
We also have practice rides throughout the Tahoe area, including Tahoe Vista, Kings Beach, Truckee, and Incline Village.
Our coaches are volunteers who are trained, certified, and background checked under NICA’s Coaches Training Program.
Ride groups are organized by multiple riding levels and interests.
Our practices are a combination of fun and adventure with technical and race training.
We partner with NICA’s Truckee MTB and Incline MTB for athletes based in Truckee or Incline and with Tahoe City Cross Country’s Junior Mountain Riders Program for younger and developing athletes.
North Tahoe MTB was originally founded under North Tahoe High School in 2015 and now operates independently as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
